ANAHEIM, Calif. - Susan Hladilek sits in a wheelchair and aims a white remote at a TV, with the guiding hand of Dennis Miyadi.

She waits with her head bowed down. And waits. And then, yes, she feels a fish tugging at her line and she jerks the remote straight up. A loud splash confirms she's caught a fish - a “plain ol' fish” - to be exact. The splash is so loud, in fact, that Hladilek jumps at the sound.

“I know it scared you, it scared me too,” Miyadi says. “That was good.”

From what I understand, Alzheimers is a memory loss disease. By playing wii play fishing, it probably uses some neurons that haven't been used in a while. This could possibly help her memory.
