Skipped the middle section and jumped to online testing. Bowser is still tops, but it's hard to be as accurate because i could be fighting people of different skill levels (and different stages) match to match. It's all for fun, which unfortunately doesn't record battle records.

These are the five who emerged.

Though i noted very high survivability with Rosalina and Palutena, they did not perform well in free-for-all terms (low KO power).

Palutena has more promise than Rosa in that regard.

Mr Game and Watch is out, he was actually one of the worst assessed. God knows what Sakurai did to him, but he doesn't work much anymore. Bowser is insane, Pac-Man is surprising, Dedede, Ike, and Kirby retain goodly amounts of usefulness from Brawl (though Dedede's changed a fair bit, his changes don't seem to hobble him, unlike what i initially feared).

Nice list of characters! We have to play together sometime!

Roughly five hours out from the Smash Bros Wii U announcement, what do you think will be the big surprises?

Ridley DLC! (maybe not). I'm sure we'll see more about Wii U specific modes, other than that... not too sure what could be coming.

Well if it really is "50 things that'll be in Smash Bros Wii U" I honestly expect a lot. New modes are a must, maybe Wii U specific online features. Custom stages are all but confirmed. I would like to see a few new Wii U stages.

And though I know it won't happen, I would love a line form Sakurai saying, "remember how you were told the roster would be the same for both games? We lied."

*cue new reveal trailer*.

Which reminds me. Although it's technically outdated info, I'd like a "reveal" trailer for Bowser Jr. and Duck Hunt Dog. It almost seems wrong that they wouldn't get such a trailer, when arguably they're some of the most interesting new characters in the game!

So...Mewtwo is going to be in Smash after all....AND EIGHT PLAYER MATCHES?!?!?? INSANE!!!

Smash 3DS now blinds me.

I may be promoting Palutena to main. Surprising performance in a 4-man For Glory that was pretty competitive.
