Iclim. Ike can't spam effectively in 1v1s, but that doesn't stop me from despising the idiots that try. Walk at em from any angle and they just try to F-smash...

Riot, smash DI upwards with the control stick and C-stick repeatedly to get out of Mach Tornado. Works easier with light characters. Heavies are pretty much just stuck in the stupid thing ; ;

Brawls pretty much the new tourny standard, but if you do melee I think you'd have most fun with Marth. Fox and Falco are the dominant toons, but Marth, Sheik and Peach can hold their own.

Just beat him up everytime that Ike misses and he'll stop in no time.
That's a very easy opponent.

Yes, he is. However, true idiots don't learn and they're the people I have problems with. I've seriously played someone from smashboards like this. I did 2 matches total with him. He used forward smash almost exclusively with Ike. Afterwards he asked me why I quit so early. When I told him it was just because he only spammed forward smash and wasn't any fun to play, his response was: "Well if I continually use his kill move it has to kill you eventually, noob.".

I 3 stocked him both times...

I don't have nearly as much hatred for Ike as I do Wolf. I enjoy facing decent Ike's, but when I see one just come in spamming the hell out of F-smash I wanna rip someones heart out -.-

If I pick the random button for fun, and it comes up Ike. I'll make an attempt. If it pops up Wolf, I just kill myself.

 @Riot. Marth is highly offensive in melee. The only floaty characters in Melee are Kirby, Jiggly, and to a lesser extent Peach. If you don't like Marth I'd say Peach next if you like aerial attacks. Jiggly is decent, but I didn't really like her much. I loved Kirby in melee, but that's mostly from my love of the Kirby series. He's not too strong in melee at all. Peach, once you get her floating down and all is quite intimidating in the air though.

fun duels twilit, to bad we got disconnected though. your jigs was pretty good.

Just had some fun matches with Luinil, jkid, and Chris.

The best match was my Ike versus Luinil's Falco, jkid's Wolf, and Chris' Samus.  I found my Ike facing Chris' Samus with 1 stock left to Chris' 2 stocks and made a winning comeback.  And I got 12 KOs!  That was awesome.  ^_^
