I hope brawl can evolve past just metaknight and snake, because those are the only characters being used and they're trashing every other character. I'm going to roll with marth as a primary main for a while until the metaknight hype dies down or people get bored with him. Marth Ftw.

I use Dedede and I've done all right in tournaments so far. I haven't lost to a Snake or Meta Knight yet during a tourny though. The 3 offline ones I've been to so far I've lost to a Pikachu, a Sonic, and a Dedede (Damn me for picking Kirby on that last one). I'm pretty sure at the 3 I've been to the winner wasn't a Snake or Meta Knight either. I know one of em the Pikachu that beat me went on to win ._.

I want someone that plays close to metaknight and can do the same stuff. I just want some variety in matches. Metaknight dittos are annoying. Hopefully I can get marth to act like metaknight.

I think I've said this before, but if you expect Marth to be Meta Knight you'll be disappointed.

I'm trying to get my ZSS good but she's damn hard to use >_>
I keep overestimating the range of her whip and end up suiciding when trying to recover or coming short with her side B.

She gets knocked around too much as well.

ivo, I think he can be played like metaknight. It just going to take some getting use to.

Meta Knight moves through the air easily.. Marth, not so much. As Dedede, I can't truly come out to meet meta knight in the air as he's coming back. Marth though, I can shove him off them B-air him out of his Dolphin Slash's range without fear of being hit back. Best he can do it hit me back towards the stage unless I do something wrong. Marth has range, but unless he tips he's got some of the weakest attacks in the game. Meta Knight has range, and doesn't rely on tipping. Meta Knight does best KOing horizontally. Marth does better vertically with that up tilt and up smash. Lost track of how many times that up tilt has caught me off guard -.-

Their specials are nothing alike at all. I tried them both out for awhile. I tried to play Marth like he was played in Melee and got my ass handed to me. Adjusted my play style and did well, but not the funnest time. Meta Knight was interesting, but I saw no similarities between him and Marth.

Marth does best with a lot of mind games with counter and an offensive/defensive mix. I think Meta Knight did best mostly offense with little breathing room. Up to you how you play him, but most Marth's agreed playing him purely offensive like he was in melee doesn't do nearly as well.

I disagree. I think marth works best as an offensive character only. He works well pressuring people with aerials and the dnacing blade. And he can play off stage really well. I don't see how playing defencively benefits him at all. Relentless attacking is the way to go with marth IMO. Marth is one of the few charcters that can be played like that. You would be wasting him playing defencively. Marth, fox, and metaknight are the best aggressive fighters in the game. You should be mobile and on the attack relentlessly with all of them.

How can you spam effectively with Ike in a duel.
