I don't get how you can be that good with him so easily. It seems like I can't do anything right metaknight.

Thinking too much about something just screws with you. Hell I remember when I first started I couldn't beat anyone. I thought I was planning everything out perfectly and then I realized.

I just should stop thinking.

Now the only thinking I do is remembering what my opponents tendencies are so I try not to always get caught by the same thing. I've found I do far better by thinking less about myself and what I do then watching my opponents for a flaw in their strategy.

Now if only I could stop myself from going stupid from fury every time I see a Star Fox character

meh, I desperately want my metaknight to be good. It just isn't just isn't working the way I want it to. I wanna be good like forte right now!

Well you just need to keep practicing then. Not gonna get better by just watching videos. They may show you techniques, but they also discourage you by making things look easier then they really are. Gotta remember that they probably don't have the things they do planned out. They just do them on the fly.

Also, mediocre videos of those people probably aren't ever going to be posted. Who wants to watch a match where the opponents mistakes made him suicide twice? I know one of my friends plays a pretty decent Fox, but even she accidently Side-Bs off the side occasionally. Hell, I sometimes forget to stop Inhaling when going for a Swallowcide and fall right off the bottom occasionally.

Making mistakes occasionally is perfectly normal. You will have matches you thought you were uber in, and those you though a newb could have beat you in. On Youtube, you almost never see the latter. It glorifies the best, because thats what people want to show.

yeah, I hate when I blow my down b ledge hog. LOL! I stopped doing it online because the button lag kills it. I can't decide of I want the tap jump on or off though.

I find aerials much easier to perform with it off. I got far more accurate with them when I finally switched to button jumping then directional jumping.

I'll probably end up with it off, so I don't blow jumps with my uair juggles. I just got so use to it being on.
