Lol Riot, I beat you every match last time and have only gotten better and learned the Marth/Metaknight matchup a lot better. ;p I am pretty sure I'd still win, but we can play sometime if you want.

but yeah, I won the smash tournament at Penny Arcade Expo, got second at my state's monthly tournament, and first in my house tourney, haha. I'm arguably best GnW on the west coast at this point. ^_^

lol @ you learning match ups. With your character, only thing you need to know is spam bair against every character in the game. that's all it takes to have a good G&W. I never even used him before and I bet I could go even with you in a ditto.

GnW requires a lot more spacing than Metaknight, lolz. You die extremely early, have a lot of landing lag on a ton of your attacks, have a number of disfavorable matchups, and contrary to popular belief, the turtle is easily beatable.

Metaknight has a lot of la.. oh wait, well at least he has bad matchu.. umm, well at least he doesn't have the most safe approa.. damn, nevermind.

I'd rather not argue with you, but realize GnW is more than you think, you just don't know how to fight him well ;p I wouldn't mind helping you out with that.

You gotta remember something: Us MK mains are cocky bastards who think we're better than what we really are.

But MK is easily more difficult to use than G&W...

He really isn't. Maybe at an uncompetitive level of play, where no one knows how to punish anything, a GnW who knew how to spam bair would do really well, but you have to have a lot of mindgames, spacing and matchup knowledge to perform effectively at large tournaments with Game and Watch, whereas you see maaaaany Metaknights placing, no matter where it is.

In high level play, despite what some idiots want to believe, MK has to do more than just tornado to win.

TBH, every character needs mind games, spacing, and match up knowledge. People know MK like the back of their hands. MK has to deal a ton of different crazy "Anti-MK" tactics more than any other character has to. He's harder to place with than you're probably thinking. Most of the MK's you see win stuff are just THAT good (aka M2K, Azen, Forte, DSF). Just cuzz he's the best doesn't mean lalala I pick him up and beat top level players. Yeah right.
