Yea there were different versions, I remember EU got a version where Shiek and Marth were pretty much how they are in Brawl now, Shieks fair was nerfed hard to what it is now and Marth's hitbox for his forward smash wasn't as disjointed. If you can find topics from back then I'm sure you'll probably find a few complaints about it. JSKI I'm going to go on in a bit.

Melee Marth is awesome.

After playing a few hours of melee last nite, brawl Marth feels like shit. It's no wonder why the best Marth players in the world barely get top 10 in big tourneys (9th and 13th).

Lol great matched, I have a personal dislike for Meta Knight, it's not that I think he's broken, it's that I don't like the *ching* sound his sword makes, my friend does it so often. I can't zone it out either ^_^, great matches, what did you think of my Pit?

No I'm saying the in the final EU version Shieks attributes were similar in Melee as they are to Brawl, US never got that version. She wasn't weaker to my knowledge that in Brawl.

But as for Marth, in Melee Marth had the same broken disjointed hit boxes Toon Link has in Brawl, they can clearly hit in areas around their sword in Toon Links case even behind him given enough hurtbox movements.

I'm sure in that last match you saw when I did pit's forward smash that both hits would connect if the target was inside pit but not in the daggers animated area. Toon Link has a larger range for that, Marth had that in Melee, plus the air charge B made him godly in the air as well as his Nair.

MK hitbox is even bigger than TL
