Because poor Sheik was nerfed to hell and Zelda is actually better then her now. Down-B used to be Zelda's best move and now your basically laughed at if you use it.

I believe Zelda mains say the only time they use Shiek is against Sonic. I've tried using Sheik, I found her unusable.

Riot. Find a tournament in your area and go to one. Tournaments are about the only reason I play this game =p It's the only reason I played Melee as well, even if I didn't participate in the melee ones.

I don't know if I would like tourney play, but I guess I could try it. I don't think I'm good enough for that though. I'd probably get destroyed.

 Eh, not everyone at tournaments are very good. You're bound to find people of your skill level. The only problem I see is that most tournaments cost money. -.-...

I've never won one. I do usually make it about halfway through though. We tend to run fairly even so I don't see you doing any worse then I would.

Its the atmosphere that I enjoy, and the friendlies and money matches on the side.

Most tournaments cost 10$. Which, if you get first usually pays back 60% of all entrance fees.
