OK list I guess but I'm still not getting one.
The UK launch price is scandalous! Its more expensive than the PS3 was!
Wow did not expect Killer Instinct. The biggest thing for me though is 60fps confirmed for Halo. Hopefully 60fps will start to become the norm again.
Good showing from MS overall though they haven't won me over yet for paying anything above £199 for one.
Out of that lot i would buy Metal Gear Solid V, The Witcher 3, D4, Sunset Overdrive and Dead Rising 3. Not really worth it for 3 exclusives.
Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030
Oh I've heard of inflation. But ps3 had an expensive optical drive in it. People won't pay the premium. There's a reason games retail prices don't go up with inflation either. £299 is the spot where people will buy.
BTW that UK price is $635.
Its also launching to a poorer economy than the ps3 where take home salary is lower than it was in 2007 and people have less disposable income. This will not sell at this price plain and simple. Ps3 got a price cut within 6 months of launch.

Ever heard of inflation? £425 in 2007 is the same as £500 now. So, its actually quite a bit cheaper. Its the equivalent of the PS3 launching in the UK for £360 back then, £65 less.
It is 20% cheaper than the PS3 was. |
and the pound was much stronger when ps3 released.
I didn't watch it live, so I'm just seeing the games trailers/demos now. Metal Gear Solid V looks pretty fucking impressive, I was also surprised by Dead Rising 3, although I wouldn't classify it as a must-have, and Ryse also looks pretty cool. Project Spark is pretty promising as well, the demo was impressive.
I wish they showed a demo for Forza 5 instead of just a trailer, though.
Now, If they showed half of this during the Xbox One reveal, the first impression of the console wouldn't be so damn horrible.

Currency fluctuations are irrelivant. £425 is still £425 in the UK. No console has ever sold well above £300 (Xbox 360 premium launch price was £280, core was £209). If MS think this'll fly off the shelves at £429 they're having a laugh. Especially given a chunk of the features aren't available outside the US at launch.
After this gen, I do not trust MS when they call things exclusives. Most third party exclusives I expect to be timed exclusives. I will not be fooled twice by deception.

Killer Instinct KILLER INSTINCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really liked that MS conference, but will not buy it this holliday. I mean its 500€ without Tax so I wont be able to buy both Consoles at the same time.
