I've been saying for a year now.
Both will be $449 to $499.
MS is at $499.
Sony *could* be $449 if the decide to take a bigger hit, but you have to remember their APU has a higher end GPU and their RAM costs A LOT more than the memory in XBone.
So, I'm picking $449 for competitive reasons, but it could be up to $499 as well.
This means Nintendo may or may not alter their pricing plans at all. I still think basic model is going dodo route and they'll drop to $299 though.
I think Sony will undercut M$ & tout the power adv. as well. $399 basic, $499 w/SpEye, 2nd controller & 1 yr of PS plus.

Either they will hit the same stride Microsoft has, or they will go overboard, like last generation.
$499 - $549 (max.) No reason for Sony to go less, really. Too much of a risk to go over, though.
the ps4 price is not even the main point. Microsoft introduced a new model 360 and kept the price the same (with its kinect integration), Sony can easily come out with a PS3 slim with a $179-199 price and undercut the 360 (and Wii U) and have its new PS4 at $399-449.
The same :)
In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.
Anything under $450 will be surprising, But I believe PS4 will be sold for $499 too.

Uses GDDR5 RAM instead of GDDR3 RAM. Cost difference is not huge. Difference in price between GPUs depends largely upon whatever deals both companies brokered with AMD. The difference again is not huge.
I have my suspicions that Kinect 2 may be the component that is responsible for the higher than expected price of the XB1.
