Don't think that Nintendo held back games for this reason.

I think Nintendo was shocked by the youtube-reactions to the slow OS and wanted to fix this. Because of this they nearly shut down advertising for Wii U as well short after launch. But they don't release games without advertising.

So they waited before they release this games until OS is fixed.

Maybe..... but is the OS such a big issue ? I mean, isn´t that something that could be easily fixed with updates ? Of course there were negative reactions but games like Lego City Undercover were highly praised despite long loading times.

All the third-party talk seems more reasonable for me. But still... we can just speculate for now.

We're going to see Ghosts on the Wii U this year, no doubt in my mind at all about that. It currently has an installed userbase of 3.5m and should have another 5m at least before the end of the year given the software on the way from Nintendo. They're not going to upset shareholders and investors by ignoring a console that's going to have a superior installed userbase for another two years at least.

The PS4 and One aren't going to sell more than 2m each worldwide before the end of the year, they won't even be able to ship that many let alone sell them.

And how is that exactly? Because they didn't make the Wii U a $500+ console?

I could see that. However, it's still rumored that GTAV is coming to Wii U, and Ghosts hasn't been officially confirmed NOT to be coming yet.
