So, with all the xbox one thread kind of beating a dead horse(drm, online, etc,etc). Lets talk about the creators of the halo series. Do you want 343 studios to make a new ip or do you want halo 5? Maybe they can do, what naughty dog did and split into two teams also. So what do you want?

I'm always up for a new IP, but I don't want them to take too much time away from Halo, so I would say do what ND does providing they have the resources (human). I would really like to see what they could do beyond Halo.

You would think that being microsoft top developer, they would have all the resources they want. Maybe not though, not sure.

Finances they have locked. Man power I'm unsure if they can erect the numbers they may need in time to do two AAA projects simultaneously. I don't know how big the studio is so I can't say. Plus, they may have the wherewithal, but I'm not convinced they'll get Microsoft's backing for something other than Halo given what Bungie shared.

Ya, halo is getting really big. Since the new tv series was announced to. Microsoft won't let go of halo easily.

Maybe after the reclaimer trilogy we will see a new Ip from them.

I read a long time ago that they are working on more than just Halo 5 but I guess that could be something like Halo Spartan Assault or a Halo 2 remake or something. Personally I'd prefer if they could do what Naughty Dog did but only if the quality of Halo does not get affected by doing that.

I think they actually are split up into two teams already (which makes sense considering they have over 340 employees).

I would love to see what they are capable of for creating a brand new story line but I'm pretty sure MS is having them work on Halo only. From what I get, each team works on a Halo for two years so they can have yearly Halo releases.

Though I'm sure that they would do a great job, that would defeat their purpose which is to create Halo games. The numbers "343" comes from the Halo character 343 Guilty Spark, after all.


Also: They did not create Halo. Bungie did. And they are already working on a new IP
