Forums - Gaming - DRM - Please shut the hell up about it already!

Good job genius. Make a thread telling people to shut up about DRM...will only make for more discussion about DRM. Do you see how your _______ knows no bounds?

I'm pretty sure a lot of people will continue discussing it despite your feeling tired of the debate. It's also being discussed widely in the gaming press, not just fans on internet forums.
It's gaming news and a big deal and will likely be so for a long time, or at least until the new consoles arrive and people figure out exactly how things work with them.
If they don't work to the consumers satisfaction, guess what? They'll continue debating it.

This whole DRM debate is driving me crazy and I’m to the point now where I just wish gamers will shut the hell up about it. I mean seriously, it’s so bad that almost every single day, I have a Sony-fanboy friend of mine calling and sending me links about DRM, and trying to convince me that Microsoft is killing the video game industry.

Honestly, I really don’t give a rat’s ass what MS or Sony or Nintendo or whoever else wants to do with their console, as I have the right not buy said console. So if you don’t like DRM or other features in the Xbone, well just don’t flipping buy it! Do I support DRM? I really don't care, as I just want to play games.

Some gamers are all over the net ranting about DRM and Always On, etc, but these are the same numbskulls that will go and buy the Xbone – so why all the noise?

Industry practices over that past generation cannot continue to the point where developers are losing money, especially when you consider the number of gamers and consoles out there – the numbers don’t add up.

Final point, we’re in this mess because broke ass gamers always want to leech off the industry and suck it dry. I mean gamers want the best of the tech in their console, want to pay almost next to nothing for it, and for software they don’t want to pay dime over $60.00. They then turn around and want the newest and the best IPs, with the best graphics, sound, gameplay, etc. Most importantly, however, they also want the right to own that IP and to do with it as they wish. They want to trade-in that IP/game or give it to their broke ass friends, all to the detriment of the game developer – that shit is wrong.

Ultimately, some of you bitches need to go out and look a dam job and stop complaining, and then get it through your thick skulls that the IP is not yours!

this proves that we should not SHUT THE HELL UP, there are way more ill informed fools like you than people like us who understand the concept of consumer rights. Try harder next time.

So let me get this straight.

You post on a gaming forum to say "Stop talking about this issue that people feel passionately about, related to gaming, because I don't consider it important enough to base my purchasing on it"?

Really?

Really?

And if people consider it to be anti-consumer practices, then why the hell WOULDN'T they want to tell people about it?

You're mad over nothing my good sir! It's too be expected that gamers shan't quiet down about DRM because it's big news!

Here's you're consolation prize.

You're part of the problem, it's people like you that make companies like Micosoft think they can do whatever the hell they want.

And to answer your OP, #dealwithit

#DEALWITHIT

You are pure cancer.

I hope this is a joke thread.

haha people complaining about $60 games come to Aus lol.

But in all seriousness all games should be much cheaper this would cut down on piracy and more people would buy games.

The reason this will work is because you just have to look at any other retail area that does this. For example two computer stores. One tries to make a 30% profit margin whilst the other makes 5%-10% margin. Guess which one makes more profit in the financial year?
