No. Greed, corruption, and bad decisions are prerequisites of the job.
Yeah, you're gonna need a little bit more than a good president to make it seem like the US is actually governed by the people.
as long as only the rich are the only ones that can run...no not saying the poor would do a better job but i wouldnt be surprised if someone from the middle class could better

The job of a politician is to get elected, reelected, and to climb the political ladder by any means necessary. That is their focus and their top priority. Actually running the country is simply a consequence of that.
Politicians are poor choices for decision-making positions, to be honest.

Somewhat off topic here but since you mention Lincoln,
He actually was ourt greatest President. When you look at that man and see the unbelievable hardships he endured and the rediculously hard decisions he had to make in his term, hes unmatched in US history.
One of the very few examples where the hype around the man is actually justified. He was perhaps the only president who truly put what was best for the people over what was best for him. To the point he knew it would kill him. He told those close to him he expected to be killed.

...ehhhhh.
I'd take Teddy Roosevelt over him any day.
Though i am someone who weights negative actions far greater then positive ones. A murder being far worse then saving someones life for example. It's the same reason why Andrew Jackson ranks near the bottom of my list. Jacksonian democracy and the rest be damned.
Lincoln may have had the greatest challenges of any President, but he did a lot of henious stuff in winning the war... and gets too much credit because the things he did do, led to great things, even if they weren't his original intention. (The end of slavery being the big one.)
I mean for example, he abolished Habeus Corpus in areas he thought my rebel. Which was illegal. (only being allowed after they rebel, and by act of congress) and then when people critisized him, he abolished it everywhere and arrested all politicians who disagreed with him.
The supreme court overuled him....
and he completely ignored the supreme court.
He allocated money without consulting congress, he created the draft specifically so the rich wouldn't have to go to war, shut down any press who disagreed with him....
All the major war presidents have a much darker closet than history presents to the person who doesn't dig deeper.

The thing with most politicians is that they suffer from a certain degree of sociopathy and narcissism(some more than others)
