Are we seriously comparing a video game message board to a gaming console?
Sheesh, I really need to leave this site for awhile... -_- My brain hurts.

I think his point is more along the line of the people here bitching about needing to connect to the Internet once a day are people who are on this forum for hours every day and thus aren't affected in any way by the Xbone needing to connect to home base once every 24 hours. |
Yeah, God forbid that people should argue on behalf of those who actually are disadvantaged by this policy, and on the basis that it's just a wrongheaded policy irrespective of whether people have a fast and reliable internet service.

This is one of the most ridiculous and stupid comparisons I have seen since that dumb guy at MS who got fired compared electricity to Internet connection.

Not sure how many times i mentioned this, but NOT a comparison. At least a dozen is my guess.
Except we are not subject to anti-customer policies here. We don't have to be online once every 24 hours

Looking at more comments, it is clear people don't understand what is DRM either. Needing internet connection is not DRM. You would expect people to know that.
Not to mention the fact that a lot of people in here are NOT 24 hours online. That means they do take breaks, which could have been because their internet connection is unstable. You never know. It is ridiculous to assume either way.
People just don't learn from Simcity, Diablo at ALL. If MS's servers themselves pose some problems you wouldn't be able to play an offline game at all. Which means a lot to people even with a good internet connection.

There is no irony if there is no comparison.

The irony is that the people who are complaining are people who has access to the internet on a regular basis rather than people who don't. We have had one person come in here and say "Hey, I have a legit issue to be upset." Besides that one person, nothing. The people who have real reasons to complain are the ones who was intending to buy the X1 and does not have internet. Those people we will likely hear from after the X1 releases rather than people who are on forums where probabl 95-98% of them have internet that they can access daily at home.
I will say again though, not a comaprison. Ironic situation but not a comparison.

There are plenty of people with legit reasons to be upset. So many have voiced it already throughout so many threads.
It is not just about a person's internet connection. It is also about MS's servers, and for some people it is about the control MS has on your gaming. It is unnecessary and will unnecessarily create problems down the line.

Yes it is.
MS wants to use my connection without offering anything, that is what we call a freeloader.
