Dude... Why would I want Sony to do everything Microsoft is doing? I seriously do not follow you here.
I'm interrested in Sony's console; so I could not care much what they are doing with it.

Mm

I assume that you're an MS guy and that you are pretty much shaking an angry fist at Sony fans. You pretty much admitted it in your OP.

You're hoping that Sony does all that MS is doing because you want them to suffer aswell

Its waaaaaaaaay too obvious

Edit: @Mods im just saying so relax

You know, keeping saying "@Mod: I'm kidding, mods, just saying" will not make your post less flamebait?
It is obvious that I favor Microsoft, but nothing in my post suggest that I want Sony to do the same...

My post is about Sony doing the same kind of stuff and being seen by the Playstation community as different than any other companies, caring about gamers, etc... This is what I'm talking about.

funny thread. Just wait for E3 already, it is almost there.

Yah, E3 will certainly give us a lot of answers :) At the same time, in the past few weeks, we got a lot of threads going on about the evilness of Microsoft and the "passion" of Sony :) This is what I do not understand hehe

Sony already said DRM isnt in the PS4...so stop trying to plant it. This is an MS issue and Sony will have to say it again to the world for MS transgressions, because of course is MS is labeled as evil Sony must also be to be fair. Get used to the fact that MS is policing the crap out of their gamers with every used game they buy until the point where they are forced into submission to buy new. Yoshida already said if anyone commits DRM on a consumer on their console its a third party not them.

I cannot imagine a situation with a multiplat game(identical on both platforms) locked on one platform and "free" on the other. It just doesn't make sense.

Thank you for confirming what I said in my OP about your point of view of Sony as a company versus Microsoft ;)
By the way, Sony said it will not be mandatory... Up to the publishers (including themselves of course),. Yes, PS4 will have DRM.

No.....it would have to be an online client if third party approached it outside of Sonys system, like what Ubisoft account or EA origin account. That is how third party would implement their licensing enforcement. The PS4 will be wholly approachable offline unlike the Xbone because Yoshida said there are people they are selling the console to who dont even have internet.

MS intergrated DRM into the heart of the console, meaning it affects the way you use it from the second you turn it on if you plan on gaming. They never thought about the little guy who has no internet in a rural area because it needs to be online once every 24 hours.

LOL....in no way are their situations equal.

If there's an online client for every third party game on the PS4, then what's the difference? You still wouldn't be able to play offline like with the new Xbox, the only difference is that a few selected games would work offline while the majority wouldn't. Anyway, we don't know yet if Sony is implementing or not any kind of DRM or how it works, but if the RFID patent is used on the PS4, you can expect no need for a online client for 3rd party games, since the disc would lock itself without the need of internet.

You do realize in order for DRM to properly work it needs to have an Internet Connection on a Regular basis and Sony has stated that the PS4 system is not an Always on Device.

Not every third party wants to implement DRM, or at least I would suppose so. Many of them are hearing the crowd response from the net because quite a few of them actually listen and report back to their publishers. Activision and EA are the only publishers we can expect to force this on us. If they wanted to put DRM in a game they would enforce it on Nintendo as well via client, so yes it is different. MS is doing the work for them against us so they dont have to and forcing an azure network on Gamestop and used game sellers worldwide.

Sony and Nintendo would be more so in the same boat if this situation were to take place. As far as we know Sony and Nintendo are the only consoles where a game can be enjoyed offline majorly. On the Xbox you've been locked down and really, as it has always been the Xbox is useless without online as it is.
