I am not always with Nintendo but I stand with  the fans on this. When a publisher turns on gamers I tend to stand with gamers. Who does this guy think he is Orth?

It doesn't matter how annoying people are with their requests; it's never okay to blow up at them. Knowing the nature of these things I wouldn't be surprised if he got fired, and I can't say I'd be too broken up about it.

I bet he has been spammed about it.

Bayonetta doesnt fit the art style of smash so its unlikely that she would be added. It's amazing that they had solid snake in the first place.

aawww, I wouldn't wanna see him fired over this. It was pretty mean/rude, but fired? ...nah

Though I will say, he should take it as a complement that so many people are interested in him and the stuff he makes. I bet some devs would love to be annoyed like that

And Solid Snake is probably one of the best characters in SSBB. His attacks have a broken distance, and his smash attacks are way too overpowered.

It is more than just the figurative head of the studio. You don't want to fire your director. Look at how well that move has treated Capcom and Team Ninja since  their polarizing leaders left.

It was very stupid of him. Consider the proportion of people who will buy Smash for Wii U. Now consider the proportion that may have bought Bayonetta 2. And there's probably a LOT of overlap. And now he's just offended a large swathe of people who are right in that overlap region. It's like he doesn't *want* people to buy his game.

This isn't the first time he's said something on Twitter that made me think he might be a bit of a pooperscooper...
Though I can imagine this is not the first tweet he's received asking whether or not Bayonetta will be in the next Smash...
I imagine I would get annoyed too...
Smash fans can be a little vexing...
