I think it's good that he's trying to make something different, but I don't think the latest Zelda games are disappoinitig, they're very fun to play.

But seriously this could be good news, i mean maybe now he can concentrate on creating another great character or IP for Nintendo.
Yeah, it was about 2 years ago I realized that Anouma was basically jumping from one Zelda title to another non stop and felt bad for him. He has been solid for Nintendo, they really should give the man the chance to work on something else, you can tell by recent Zelda games he could use the chance to let his creative juices flow.

I'm starting to think this is the reason why the latest Zelda games have been underwhelming. Anouma is probably tired from making Zelda games and as a result he might no be putting as much effort as he should.
Aonuma did good. Very good. But it's understandable if he wants to do something else. As awesome as the games are, working on them for 15 years non-stop must be tiring. It's understandable if he starts to run out of ideas, we can only hope they'll find someone who can do an equally exceptional job!
