Now this is MASSIVE!

M$ have had a partnership with Sky to allow for 360 to be used as a cable box given you have broadband and sky tv subscription. Now if they could just get them to subsidise the box then that would truly be insane. This would be the actual breakthrough M$ is looking for on the tv side of things.

Great to hear for the general public who like all in one stuff, but as a pure gamer this TV shit saddens me. I already can watch tv.

Depending on how cheap it is vs your budget, you could end up a real winner here!!

It is BY FAR the largest TV package in the UK.  It has over 10m paid for TV subscriptions.

It also commands sports, it also has exclusive deals on movies (with sony for example....lol.. yes new Sony movies are a timed console exclusive in the UK (1 year) to the xbox 360 already!).


This would be HUGE for Germany as well.

Sky broadcasts the German Bundesliga exclusively (Every single game), The DFB Pokal (every single game, except the very lowclass ones in the first round), The UEFA Champions League (Every single game) and lots of other content. They just signed a deal for the next 3 years.

There are 3.5 million paying subscribers in Germany. PayTV still feels strange for the Germans though. We are cheap when it comes to entertainment, but it is growing pretty fast.

 

I am a Sky subscriber and I pray that it will be supported with the Xbox One. That would be awesome for me. And yes, I am hardcore gamer. SHOCKER!

I can't see why not, especially so if the UK SKY is the "parent company". I'm actually quite jealous that nothing like a subsidised tv pack will be in Australia! Well, that I know of...

Sky is easy to bargain with too, ive had my subscription lowered a few times by threatening to cancel.

Could work out very cheap indeed haha
