Forums - Gaming - Microsoft cancels post-E3 roundtable.

Could it be that, unlike what some (me included) are/were expecting, they still won't have real answers to important questions regarding DRM/used games by next week?

They better not be trying to just skip over all the concerns that have been raised over the Xbone. Given how all the crazy policies of M$ were only found out after their reveal because of journalist's questions, this is bad news.

I watched every E3 for the past 7 years, live and on demand / youtube the next day and I did not even know there was a roundtable discussion until now.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

They have 3 weeks to prepare since that reveal.  Get your employees all the info and the standard ways to avoid answering some questions.  Look at how Jack handled the price question on that interview on the news in Feb.  He didn't give an answer but he didn't seem confused or ill informed or trying to hide anything.  Just "we're not ready to reveal that just yet" would be fine instead of giving a bunch of answers that contradict each other.

Exactly, they had more than enough time to prepare after the reveal too.  They knew the concerns of always online and used games. It's not like they got caught off guard by the questions because they had to fire someone over these concerns. This really just wreaks of trying to hide

This is good.

After the reveal, MS employees were bombarded with questions they werent equipped to answer.

This will ensure it doesnt happen again.

But why aren't they equipped to answers those questions in the first place?

The easiest way to dodge a question is to not let it be asked in the first place!

Well, yeah, but they will have to face those questions eventually, there's no running away from them forever.I wonder if they plan to postpone those answers till, let's say, as close to the X1 launch as possible.

That's what it sounds like to me too. My guess is they still haven't hashed out those issues and don't want to risk any more off-the-cuff embarassments.

How reassuring. -_-

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21
