WiiU, wow, it's up.

Tomodachi crossed the million mark, and with a 1% drop from last week it's probably going to cross that 2m barrier rather soon. Luigi, Animal Crossing and all the other 3DS titles except SMT are up! Dat 3DS SW.

Run for Money will undoubtedly cross 500k, thats surpassing Namco Bandai's expectation in a 150%

The budget version of MH3G will sell more than the budget version of MH3P, that's impressive.

SMT IV dropped hard, expected but, that was a huge drop. Still, they are probably sending a second shipment, not bad at all.

@kresnik 38k is for Famitsu, MC tracked 42k for 3DS.

Will it? I know that one PSP budget MH sold well over a million....

That was MHP2.

For MHP3, it sold this until december 30th 2012:

[PSP] Monster Hunter Freedom 3 (PSP the Best) <ACT> (Capcom) {2011.09.22} (¥2.990) – 317.793

Do you think the HD version of MHP3 ate into some of those sales?

3DS needs a revision for the summer to help spur sales + momentum as their software release is rather weak going forward, except for MH4.

umm... pokemon? Not trying state the obvious but i think nintendo are banking on pokemon to carry them through until a new revision. The first pokemon on any system is a sales demon for the system itself.

Plus we got the xl last year, i don't think nintendo would make hardware revisions every year, even though i think they should consider it with the way tech is today.

Summer release is barren. Pokemon is October - Winter sched. Nintendo would be wise to release a new 3DS model in the Summer, near the release of MH4. 3DS YTD is below last year's - not good if Iwata wants to achieve its 18 million 3DS by end of Fiscal-Year - March.

kk now i see what you were trying to say... like i said i agree with you they should have a new 3ds every year but i doubt they will because of that old-school we make shit to stay i can keep a gameboy going for a decade mentality. I dunno but every time i play with my 3ds there are these little things i realize they could make better/cheaper with an annual itineration. Like who the hell uses all three cameras toss that out.

At most a price cut for the original 3ds, makes sense to me a 20$ difference for the xl is kinda absurd. that would help a lot, scary to think the original DS retailed at 149$

Wii U is up, vita seems stable. PS3 going down. I think the entire market will recover when more games are released for each platform. Developers are in their lazy safe sequel making part of their process. But when next gen starts taking off developers will want to make 12 games a year rather then 3. (Maybe a little exaggerated)

Dat RE PS3 hold! Further proof if needed that Playstation players are not willing to jump ship with Capcom. Take note Capcom, and take actions accordingly with Monster Hunter 4...

it's all doomedz but Wii U

lol

wow those 3ds sales are really low compared to what it usually sells. Why is everything so low now? Wasn't golden week supposed to increase all hardware sales? Hope this changes when ps4 and xbox one launch[if xboxone even launches in Japan lol]

I think is other reasons. MHP3 sold a lot full price:

[PSP] Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (Monster Hunter Freedom 3) (Capcom) {2010.12.01} - 4.532.557

There's not much people left without the game. That's why the Best version is not as leggy as other entries. MHP2 sold "just" 2 million, and the best versions still had a lot of potencial buyers.

[PSP] Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G (Capcom) - 2.425.320

[PSP] Monster Hunter Freedom 2nd G [PSP the Best] (Capcom) - 1.092.604
[PSP] Monster Hunter Freedom 2nd G [PSP the Best Reprint] (Capcom) {2009.12.24} - 507.326
