I have read it. Again you come down to price in your post. we dont know price yet. no point in talking about it. on a gaming front you will get the same multiplat games as this gen, the same exclusives (maybe more). how is it not on par with the ps4? The xbox one has cloud computing, the ability for split screen games to change depedning on where your friends are sitting, and lets you play your games from any xbox one you are logged into. The xbox one has feature the ps4 does not also, and they both will have the same games. So they are both capable gameing machines. please show me how they are not, and please dont talk about price as we do not know that yet. No point in talking about something that we would have to use made up numbers for.

You didnt read it because the other poster asked me if both consoles cost the same (400 dollars/euros) wouldnt the Xbox1 have more value due to the entertainment options. And my answer is no, it doesnt because the gaming features arent worth the same.

Those features are small at best compared to the 2 glaring ones i gave you. i would call them just adjustment options. Cloud computing? We dont even know what that means yet. But the PS4 also has that kind of capability with the Gaikai tech.

I really dont know how you can ignore that the remaining features are alot more costly though. All the stealth fee's to decrease how significant those "gaming features" are. Talking about gaming features without talking about how much they cost you is indeed what microsoft wants you to do. Its ok if your wallet gets raped later i suppose. The fact is these Xbox "awesome gaming features" cant be the same as the "awesome gaming features" the PS4 has solely based on the fact that Xbox "awesome" comes with an attached price tag to be enjoyed. Its not really as "awesome" when that is the case.

I supposed you see it more like this? Awesomeness is anabsolute value in your mind?

There can be a limited amount of awesome and Xbox has decided to dedicate 50% of that awesome to TV and extra features while sony is giving most of its awesome to gaming?

Bottom line is that XB1 could even be a better gaming system than PS4 and have the extra features. No one really knows. But the general assumption around here is that PS4 = gaming, while Xbox = just TV.

That is correct, in accordance to the graphic. Thats what i was trying to get at.

There are still details we dont know about, but just taking into account the stealth fees, something like that is already the case.

it seems it hasn't sunk in yet so i will repeat it again. If both systems offer the same games they are both capable gaming systems. If you choose to dismiss that becuase you can't seperate games from added features that is not everyone elses fault. the fact of the matter is they both will continue to have the same games. All you seem to talk about is price. You say the xbox one is not a gaming machine but your reasoning is price (mind you we dont know that yet). than when givcen a hypothetical what if they were the same price, you go on how you will get nickel and dimed with other stuff. As a gaming machine, minus any other features, it is going to play the same type of games as the ps4.

For all we know the xbox will be released at a cheap price (through cable providers maybe). But we dont know price yet, for the ps4 either. So why compare price, it is all made up numbers. I guess its fun to compare made up numbers, but at the end of the day we will learn nothing from made up prices and numbers.

That is a different debate, you are claiming things i didnt say because you werent on this debate since the start and didnt read everything. Its not the conversation that was happening here. The conversation we were having were about the value of the features.

The games debate is more complex as it will enter into quality of games wich is a more subjective topic.

The problem with the graph is that it's misleading. It's a graph essentially measuring % of features, not NUMBER of features. If Xbox has 40 gaming features and 40 media consumption features, many people would consider that superior to a 43/10 split... but it could yield a graph like that.

There is NOTHING to suggest the PS4 will have more gaming features, just more horsepower. Look at the current Gen, Xbox/Live has consistently, and right up to this day, had more "features" than PS3/PSN. The fact that MS has the resources to also develop massive amounts of additional content is not somehow a drawback.
