$450 is a good price and is expected. Anything above $500 would have trouble selling.
But $70 for a game is too much! Hope its not true!

£50 is too high, wherever these images are from, the supermarkets will cause a price competition lowering it to £40, especially in the UK. Keeping in mind that current gen, RRP is £50 but no one sells games for that because of competition.

Console should be 400 Euros, £325-£350 would be 'fair'. £400 is too much, price killed the PS3 in the UK early on.

the price tag for games were 40-50.  Your paying more taxes on a higher dollar amount and I doubt with the shape of the economy a lot of people are better off now then they were then.  By the time you add taxes (9.75% in CA) you are almost at 80$.  No matter how you slice it, that sounds like a ton of money for a video game.  It's definitely going to be a turn off for moms when their kid asks them to buy them a new game and its 80 bucks.  But, if Sony consumers think it's fair and acceptable, then more power to them, I won't be participating.

Well in that sense, yes I agree with you. Unfortunately, the cost of HD high scale, big budget games is becoming prohibitive and honestly a detriment to the industry.......
