no it isn't... it's the same that you were paying 13 years ago. Unless you think it was out of control 13 years ago as well. Don't you understand it's the same value? 

the price tag for games were 40-50.  Your paying more taxes on a higher dollar amount and I doubt with the shape of the economy a lot of people are better off now then they were then.  By the time you add taxes (9.75% in CA) you are almost at 80$.  No matter how you slice it, that sounds like a ton of money for a video game.  It's definitely going to be a turn off for moms when their kid asks them to buy them a new game and its 80 bucks.  But, if Sony consumers think it's fair and acceptable, then more power to them, I won't be participating.
