$599 US dollars an giant enemy crabs. Also last years E3 was pretty terrible overall they didn't really show anything very interesting.  Now that other people brought it up I have to include Wii Music so Nintendo at E3 2008.  You have to give Wii Music some credit though despite being a terrible game it managed to sell over 3 million units.

Honestly, for me it was when Wind Waker was revealed. I was SO stoked to see a real follow up to OOT (that didn't include some time resetting bullshit), and then what they made was just such a shock to the system that I almost didn't know how to react. I just knew it wasn't what I wanted out of Zelda. Similarly to how Sunshine hadn't been what I wanted out of Mario, or Double Dash out of MK. Looking back now, I don't HATE those games, but I wouldn't say I'm a fan either.

Consequently, I was SO fuckin' stoked when they revealed Twilight Princess, because THAT was the OoT follow up I'd been waiting years for. And I wasn't disappointed in that at all. Still my fav. 3D Zelda/3D action game ever, so far. I'm hoping (without trying to get my hopes up) that Zelda U can top it.

You may have had an argument if you said Nintendo's E3 2008. I mean that was just scary-bad.

When Wii Music was announced and shown off as the BIG Wii title for the year. I think it was the same year we saw Cammie Dunaway snowboarding with Sean White on a balance board...

In order to be disappointed, you should have high expectations and have them broken completely.

Skyward Sword caused that. I wanted that art recreated into a massive and beautiful game. Instead we got a lame artstyle and bland setting and a broken presentation. I was really bored and sad at the same time.
