The two-team studio has added some more job listings (you get a free Sony CD each month by working there!), revealing a little bit more information about what is going on behind closed doors.

Previously, the developer made it known that they were hiring for co-op and multiplayer designers, which these new listings also reflect, but looking at the responsibilities for a Network Programmer, they involve “design and implementation of high level network code for next-generation console title.” It’s impossible to say at this moment what that next-generation gameis, though if all the various openings are connected, it will includemultiplayer, co-op, fun and engaging third-person action gameplay and levels.

Moving along to the Audio Programmer, their responsibilities include working “with the Audio Department and Advanced Technology Group to extend and enhance the audio capabilities for titles currently under development,” as well as creating “custom tools to unify the audio pipeline across multiple titles.” With The Last of Us scheduled to get three DLC packs, they could be referring to this and their next generation title, so don’t get too excited and think they’re working on a bunch of PS4 games all at once.

With E3 right around the corner, we’re very hopeful that something from Naughty Dog will be making an appearance at the big event from the team that finished Uncharted 3 in 2011, but considering TLOU is out on the Friday of E3 week it may be unlikely.

I think that maybe there is a 3rd team, because the team behind U3 is already making something, and TLoU team will be on vacation soon and a small part of it are making the DLC :)

That would be a MASSIVE twist

I wouldn't expect another Naughty Dog game this year given it has only been 2 years since 3 and they are going across generations

I am not 100% convinced about them unveiling it at E3, is it really a good idea to announce your new game 4-5 days before your current game comes out?

Didn't Jak X come out in 05 then Uncharted in 07?  That was getting used to cell too so I bet they could get a PS4 game out in the same time frame and have it be more complete.

I dont think it would be released this year or may be even next year. And I assume people wont be saying oh a new uncharted is coming I better save for it and not get The Last of Us.. Infact it will be a good thing, whenever an article would be published in UC4 or ND, they wont skip without mentioning abt the last of us, giving a wee bit of extra coverage.! 

while U4 is a likely title this isn't at all coclusive as evey ND franchise has been 3rd person action (save the spin-off titles)

this is probably for the last of us team. they just finished TLoU and are moving on to next gen. they are probably hiring for that

I think they are still two teams,  I want the last of Us team to work on UC4.. coz I doubt UC4 is under development as last i heard emily rose was pregnant or we will have UC4 without "elena fisher" maybe prequel to Drakes Fortune! how drake met chloe. 

It turns out she has delivered a Baby boy on 29th april 2013, so no way she could be a part of the next uncharted.. So my best bet is UC2 team is working on a new IP and as the Last of Us guys return from their holiday they will start working on UC4 with Emily rose on board.

Man, if I would have been graduated and had my portfolio all nice and awesome right now, I would so apply for a job there.

both teams are already complete; and the fact that they are using their existing engine for the PS4, means they should not require more people.  So I really think they are forming a 3rd team.  Wether the case is, I would really love them to make an RPG :D
