Forums - Sales - Anybody else buy short supply consoles at Christmas and sell on ebay at a profit besides me? Stories of your successes pls :)

I have the strangest feeling that ain't going to work out that well this time around.

(Should've picked up more copies of Xenoblade...dang.)

Thinking of aiming for the retail of the New Super Luigi U, strangest feeling it might become a collectors item in the future. I've also learned my lesson with the Pikachu LE 3DS, I'm not going to miss out on those big ones.

(But not the AC 3DS, I have a feeling that one will be well in stock)

I'm still waiting on more info about PS4 to plan on that front. If some Pokemon X/Y 3DS LE were announced I need to pick up one of those. I still remember how high to Dialga and Palkia LE went for a while.

Most major stores I know don't sell more than 1 or 2 consoles per person (address) to stop this. And this would only work if the supply is low which also depends on how big the demand is to begin with.

Its still quite amazing to see how impatient people can be to pay 2 to 3 times the money for a console to not have to wait a while to get the console. So if you are just serving that impatience to get money, good for you. They chose to not wait.

Most of their own policies are against them.  Walmart only protects items on sale.   In the end what does it matter?  They sell out, their profit is the same, who cares.  My best luck is always with Walmart.  The game shops are elitist and generally never get much stock anyways. :)
