wouldn't be odd. i think it would be odd if the next gears game would be still xbox exclusive because there is no reason for it. 

but i really hope to see a new franchise from epic. i really liked the first 3 gears game but this franchise needs a bigger break. 

i think some of the surprises will be mirrors edge 2 exclusive for xbox, some square games exclusive for playstation (maybe a really big one for ps4) and an exclusive japanese game for xbox but i have no clue what it coul be. probably something new or a small franchise since sales of japanese games can't be expected to be that high for xbox.

Well duh, I expect all three companies to surprise us this year, even EA and Ubisoft. (Though I'm more excited for Ubisoft compare to EA)

2 new consoles and a bunch of games i guess so.  the last couple years have been pretty shit all around with only a few gems.  i was excited the kinect/move years after that everything was meh.  only bright spot last year really was ubisoft

Since the strategy behind Nintendo Direct is to bypass "journalists" like Keighley and speak directly to customers, Geoff might not be super excited about what Nintendo has to say.
