Forums - Microsoft - Mad Catz making Xbox One products

GameSpot

Peripheral company Mad Catz is making a "range" of official products for Microsoft's Xbox One, the company announced today.

Mad Catz did not go into detail regarding the nature of these products, but said more information will be provided next month at the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo.

"We are eagerly looking forward to the upcoming launch of the Xbox One and excited about the opportunity to develop a range of innovative products to support the platform," Mad Catz president and CEO Darren Richardson said in a statement.

Mad Catz is a publicly traded company that has created a range of peripherals for numerous consoles, including the Wii U, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, DS, and PlayStation Vita.

As announced last week, Turtle Beach is also developing products for the Xbox One in the form of headsets that aim to bring "advanced audio solutions" to gamers.

I would be more interested in products from fanatec...

What's the point of them announcing something at E3? I don't think one single person cares what you announce their.

Unfortunately, all these companie's Xbox 360 products won't work on it, not fair for those who bought the most expensive headsets or whatever

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

New gen, new peripherals. Business as usual (at least with Sony/MS).

It don't bother me but don't the people who bought £200 headsets look like idiots now?! But, really they should work as the new gens peripherals will probably use USB connection like this gen has

We will see. But I think when it comes to input devices none of them will be compatible. Other peripherals, I don't know.

Only on PC, it seems to all work regardless of when it was made

Well, with the Xbox One being Wi-Fi direct, I doubt people will care.  It's kind of like Blue Tooth, except it works with more stuff.
