I know what you speak of when you talk about N4G. CgoodNo is a mod who abuses his power to bubble up anyone who hates MS/Nintendo while perma banning anyone who is smart enough to make him and his followers look bad. I got perma banned when he claimed he wasn't biased and I linked to his "Nintendo gets a free pass on everything post." Along with pics of a 1 bubble troll who suddenly went to 3 bubbles after completely agreeing with Cgoodnos stance.
If members like Mika, Silent negotiator, said the things they do about Sony, they'd be perma banned but because its Nintendo and Sony he will only do a 3 day ban and that's only if enough people call them out on it.

I came here because this place seems to give everyone their opinion not just Sony fans.

BTW dude. Not a single complaint about xbox 1 from Sony fans cannot be countered with something Sony themselves did.


You rookies just don't  have the back catalouge of the days before the gap closing...

It really isn't. We can't force people to like a product, we can just moderate them when they troll it.

I believe he means that there is a lot of (stealth) trolling, baiting, bashing, off-topic/derailing, etc... I do see a lot that is let go, because it is border line. However there are a good amount, which seem like obvious ones, that clearly go against the forum rules but nothing is done about them. I guess it is up to interpretation.

To OP, just report it and ignore. If you must say something about it, make a comment and leave it at that. How much influence should these people on the forum have on you? What they say really means nothing. Sometimes it may be good to step away for a while.

You've been here since '09, this should be nothing new to you.  Perhaps you mainly view Xbox threads, so you notice it more often. It happens to all the companies. It seems the user base here is skewed against Xbox so you may see a lot more negative comments about it.


the thing is that here sony fans are intelligent....so it's harder to refute them without suffering the blinding sensation of the Red Ring of Death....

If someone does something wrong, don't bottle it up letting it fuel hatred of an entire group of people. Recognize that the troublemakers are individuals and are not representative of any large group. If you really want to improve the site, confront the problem on an individual level or alert the mods. If a user is truly wrong, then you should have no problem listing reasons A, B & C about why he is wrong. If you cannot give any legitimate reasons about why a person is wrong, then you may not be able to accept other people's opinions. Sit down and be honest with yourself and your own feelings.

Really, all you need to do is when you feel upset by a post is:

1. Ask yourself why you feel upset.
2. Ask yourself if that is a valid reason to feel upset.
3. If you answered yes, then articulate your feelings directly to the troublemaker.
4. If that doesn't work, then alert the mods.

This reminds me of a thread I made earlier for this very issue.

Hmm I wonder what specific group of people come and do most of the trash talk   :) Maybe the ones that always win "worst fanb*ys" awards? Nah can't be right? hmmmm

But tbh the best way to reply to those people is "WHY DO YOU GIVE A F*CK ABOUT MY SYSTEM IS YOURS SO SHITTY THAT YOU CONSTANTLY HAVE TO BASH THE OTHER 2 TO FEEL LESS INFERIOR? IT OBVIOUSLY IS NOT FOR YOU SO WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE ABOUT IT? NEXT TROLLING AND YOU GET REPORTED!"

All in nice CAPSLOCK for the needed IN YOUR FACE effect. I mean it seems they are trying to compensate whatever is wrong with them but thats more suited for a psychologist session than for a website like this.


So I hope you have nice 10 days without anyone being able to interfere with your anticipation for the E3 presentation and news blowouts.
