Forums - Gaming - PS3 vs Xbox 360. Graphical Horsepower, My Thoughts!

You have no idea what you're talking about. All PS3 exclusives run on different in-house engines. Killzone, inFamous, Uncharted, Gran Turismo...etc. None of these use the same engine.

Same goes for 360. Not all exclusives use Unreal Engine 3. In fact, I don't think ANY of them do.

Well, there was a time when Xbox 360 had better multi platform games but times have changed. Looking at the big multiplats from this year the versions are dead similar. And PS3 has had better versions more often then not. (off the top of my head: Tomb Raider, Metro Last Light, Bioshock Infinite).

Gears? Not even that one?

You realize that 343 Industries specifically tried to get the most out of the 360 with Halo 4. That's why it's (arguably) the best looking game on the 360.

Reaffirms my argument saying that it's the Dev's job to make it shine!

Look at the PS3 versions of Bioshock infinite, Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2. They're better than the 360 version.

Epic Games makes Gears of War games. Epic Games isn't a first party studio. They even made a PS3 games like Unreal Tournament 3 and Bulletstorm.

You made a mistake. You weren't talking about first-party (that much I know about Epic), but about exclusives!

Quoting Jega: "Microsoft chose to go with the Unreal Engine 3 to power it's games."

How does that not imply 1st party? Even if it didn't, Gears of War is still the only 360 exclusive that uses Unreal Engine 3, so my point stills tands. Jega seems to have created this thread without doing the proper research. A simple Wikipedia search is all it takes. Google if you're feeling bold.

I wasn't discussing the fact that Jenga had no idea. That much is obvious judging all the comments in the thread xD I was surprised by the fact that Unreal 3 isn't that used.
