In an interview with Pachter, which will be published later this week, Pachter estimates that consumers can expect to pay around $399 for the Xbox One and about $349 for the PS4. "The boxes will both sell out at the above prices," he said, when asked which he believes will have the more successful launch. And given the pre-order records being set by the Xbox One, I tend to believe him.

just like he predicted the WiiU would sell out from launch to around march? they wont sell out.

those are some optimistic prices... esspecially for the ps4.

Sound about right. The price points are appealing as well. I'm hoping my wife will be willing to wait in line for my PS4. Lord knows I'm not doing it.

350 seems too cheap, I'd say 400 and 450 or both 400.

Sure, if Sony and Microsoft don't mind taking massive losses.

 you take a look at who's writing the info it leaves a huge question mark about the entire thing.

I predict this thread will be flooded with comments like, "if Pachter says that then they'll both have tons left in stock LOL."

Those prices appear to be on the low side, though I hope it's true.

PS4 more expensive then X1......
