Forums - Microsoft - Quantum Break Details

I loved Alan Wake and liked Max Payne 1 +2, so I just had to preorder it. Apparently, I was right.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

do you have to watch a tv series literally? and swap back into game and vice versa?

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

It sounds to me like there is a running narrative that's played through this "show" which is basically just cutscenes, and then your decisions trigger different cutscenes, and then at the end, the game collates all the cutscenes your game followed.

.

not sure how to respond.

Really looking forward to this game, I wonder if it will be a launch title? Anyhow good to see Microsoft maintaining a strong relationship with Remedy, they make some really terrific games.

My only issue is the tv show-video game tie in, Defiance pulled that and both the game and show are mediocre. I'm sure it will be different for Quantum Break especially since Remedy is involved. Just don't like that idea.

How does defiance work?

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Sounds good, but i wish they showed some actual gameplay at that conference. But why don't Microsoft buy Remedy? They seem to make for Xbox only these days anyway

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Even their games are TV.

This just in, Xbox One reveal showed more games than you think. Introducing Price is Right: The Game

Now we need to just guess the price on Xbox One.

On a serious note, this doesn't sound too bad. Just that mentioning TV along with your Xbox One game isn't the best PR at the moment. It does seem like this will be a choose your own adventure game...which could be pretty lame but might be good. I just don't know why we are going towards live acting when graphics should be improving going into next gen. Just has wierd all over it. Still should be a good game though.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

So you play the game run around do some missions, etc.. and the story in the game ties into later episodes. From what I've seen it hasn't been executed well, granted stories in MMO usually are always lackluster. But if this is anything like Night Springs and Alan Wake where a show is placed in a game universe than I'm totally off with my analogy.
