Forums - Sony - How much of Sony's conference will be for the PS3?

im hoping it go's this way, because we nned alot of time to see the PS4, some time to give the remaining titles to the PS3 and then talk about the VITA being intergrated in the PS4. maybe they wont talk PS3 and open with PS4???

PS3 - 25%

PSVita - 15%

PS4 - 65%

this is what i personally want.

It's 2 hours, so I would imagine around 10-20 mins talking about the PS3, maybe a price cut?

Most will be PS4 with some Vita stuff creeping in, but those will definitely be the focus. The PS3 is alright on its own, it probably has the best exclusive line up for this year

Sony
6pm-9pm PST (11am-2pm AEST)

I refuse to believe that they will talk for 3 hours... But I guess that is fairly convincing evidence that they will isn't it?

It isn't too far a stretch of imagination. The PS4 hasn't been fully reveaded yet, that will take time... OS features, how the move controller glowy blue DS4 thing will work with the actual PS4, then they'd have to show how the PSEye will work with the PS4... So on and so forth.

My guess is 45 minutes for PS3, same for Vita while the new PS4 takes the most time. As it should be.

If it really is 3 hours they could give all the PS3 and 4 exclusives their just desserts. I mean I'm sure Vita has some unannounced stuff too.
PS3="We're still supporting it 10 year life cycle etc. etc." then show GT6 (gameplay and numbers of cars and such), Puppeteer (gameplay), Beyond (gameplay), LoU (just mention so people don't forget with E3)

Vita="Most powerful handheld ever and perfect companion for PS4 etc. etc." then show Killzone and Tearaway gameplay then trailers for a couple new games

PS4="We have built the most powerful next gen console which will create new experiences for gamers through social media, cutting edge hardware, and the rich first party titles that you can only get on Playstation" mention no DRM and no always online (really gotta make that clear if they are the good guys) then get to a live demonstation of sharing and streaming on a game already shown. Show KZ MP, Infamous gameplay, Driveclub social race and how that works, and a Knack level. Show Destiny gameplay. Finally get to the new games. New Naughty Dog IP, new SSM IP, and at least one other game shown if only a teaser from another first party. Of course not exactly in this order as they should mix up the new with the already announced but at the end those should all be checked. At the end show the console case itself because people will be glued until they do that because for some reason we love to see boxes, but they will still pay attention and take away everything you have before that. It's a great way to play the tease and hold it until the last minute before maybe mentioning a few of the parts (how many ports, faster USB, how large, etc.)

So I guess PS3 should come first and spend 45 minutes on that, then 30 minutes on Vita, and finally 1 hour and 45 minutes on PS4.

It's just 3 hours is a long time to keep people focused

Agreed. Seems like a conference to watch on YouTube later. 3 hours is asking a bit, I do see where you're coming from.

And yes, I'd do the same if it was MS... This wasn't to you, it's just been crazy on this site of late and that's the kind of rebuttal I would have expected from someone.

Well it's 2AM UK time and I have an exam the next day, so I'll be watching it delayed

3hrs? Hell yes. Screw anyone who thinks these things should be short. I remember when Sony made theirs 1 hour and it was one of their worst conferences. It's E3, I'm practically going to watch it non stop anyway. They could dedicate an hour to each platform with that time, but id imagine ps3 only 30 mins, Vita 1 hour, and ps4 1 and a half.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

The conference is 3 hours long. I'd say they'll give each console an hour each.

No conference has ever been more than 2 hours. 3 would just drag on far too long.

OT:

I imagine 20-25% will be dedicated to the system of the PS4 itself, not the games.

Then we'll have 30% for the PS3

20-25% for the PS4

20% for the Vita

You think they won't speak about games for the PS4 ?

Wouldn't be very smart from them.

its 3 hours long?!! that could be quiet boring. from where did you get that info?

they should have had an earlier event to show off some of the features of the PS4 so that at E3 they could concentrate on the games....

oh... hang on....

maybe they just have more content than others? you know, a 2 hour show announcing the console with just a 2 hour E3 show isnt enough.
