mine has got to be To The Moon. wonderful game. simply beautiful

I loved The Unfinished Swan. I even got the trophy for completing level 1 only using 3 ink balls. That's not that impressive, I know, but I usually don't spend that much time doing something unless I truly enjoy it.
To the Moon.
I'm often skeptical towards indie games as they get a free pass for trying to be artistic or the sole fact of being indie. To The Moon was an exception to that rule. It was moving, charming and the characters were lovable.
Braid although there is a lot of gold in the indie scene

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Don't play too many indie games myself, but I really enjoyed Limbo and From Dust
| pezus said: Hotline Miami was great. As was Braid, Minecraft, To the Moon, Plants vs. Zombies (don't know if this counts lol) |
isnt plants vs zombies a mobile game?

I made a thread about this a long time ago, Bananaking ¬¬ It was my first thread here, I think.
Aaaanyway, Braid was my favourite. But I also include Geometric Wars 2 (I don't know if this can be considered indie or merely arcade). I've yet to try Flower, Flow and Journey.
And there are two upcoming Indie's I am very intrigued: Sons: a tale of two brothers and Lives & Deaths.
