So when companies don't tell you in advance that they plan to release more content digitally, it is real DLC.
If they do, it won't be DLC.

Did I get this right?

You know what... that doesnt even deserve a proper reply.

Think harder, i'm pretty sure you can understand what i mean. If not, so be it.

I really don't get your definition and munkeh asked the same question. Feel free to clear things up.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Who cares? Call of Duty is in decline anyways. Also, i'm finished with this franchise now. Only bought Black Ops II for it's zombies mode and they ruined it.

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

It's empty space. It's desert, trees, or the same buildings over and over. And of course, the death warning.

You seem to take offense to BF being compared to CoD, though I am not sure why. You play BF3? EA and DICE want it to be CoD. Either way, the size of the maps are irrelevant. BF is actually the exact type of game the guy I quoted should be bitching about. DLC not only revealed before the game is even out, but detailed greatly and clearly removed from the game to entice "Limited Edition" early adopters at $60 a pop. Content that left the retail game with a paltry 9 maps.

I mean DLC that is planned and developed before the release is DLC that is basically beeing removed from the final product to be used as means of gouging out wallets. Some of the most daring examples are Mass effect 2 with lair of the shadow broker and ME3 with Omega. These plots were in the game and were left incomplete on purpose so you can be charged extra for them.

Wether the developer and publisher tell you in advance about these or not doesnt make it less of a bad practice. Its just that when they announce, you know that thats the case for sure since they didnt even bother to try and hide it.

I play cod cause it's more fun for me and I am not a fan of bf on consoles with its paltry 30fps :/ but for the content you get BF and cod aren't much different. In fact bf definitely had a higher dev. budget and don't forget dedicated servers. BF also has vehicles which imo makes BF give more offerings vs COD. Sure BF doesnt have the 13 maps that COD does but atleast the dlc for it was worth it and added a lot more than cod dlc.
