Forums - Gaming - WiiU Sniper Elite V2 late port lacks online co-op at twice the price

Nintendo fans Y U no buy games we put on Nintendo? U so silly we support U but U no liky

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

I bought the game, but almost skipped out on it because of no online play. The game is pretty good, better than I thought it would be after reading pretty bad reviews.

But they have a lot of nerve saying it is THE definitive version in an interview, and then leave out online play. I'm getting tired of the half-assed approach that devs are taking with the Wii U.

I guess at some point people will hold Nintendo accountable for:

1. Allowing games to be published that are severely inferior to their competetiors console counterparts, it seems that Nintendo and their biggest supporters like to turn a blind eye on this. (Seal of approval for the win)

2. Not be stingy and lower royalities fees on ports so publishers wont be so quick to charge full price for late port games (profit margin has to be realized somewhere).

So it is now Nintendo´s fault ? You have to be kidding me !

So if both Microsoft and Sony were home builders and you had a 3rd party make a faucet, the faucet itself is pretty shitty and not of high quality but it works and they both allow it to be furnished in the home.

The same 3rd party comes to the homebuilder Nintendo with the same product but during the install process its obviously clear its not at the same standards of the other two, even though the quality itself was already bad...but Nintendo lets it be furnish in the home anyway...

At what point do you stop blaming the 3rd party for delivering sub par games (which they tend to do alot) and blame Nintendo for letting said games (with even below quality than its competetiors for the same game) on their systems.

I'm sure this 3rd party title will sell a shit ton...

It's all because of how Nintendo treats third parties. This can't happen on a Sony or Microsoft console, because both companies have policies in place that late ports have to be superior to the original release, otherwise they won't be allowed on the platform.

It's funny because I made a thread about that ^^

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Yes, you made a thread about how badly Nintendo treats third parties and the actual solution to get better games is to treat them worse. It's indeed funny.

Aren't we having a jolly fun time? :D

Miiverse rocks. I'm sure most publishers HATE how fast negative news spread there...

A few devs. have said that they liked it a lot. I know Frozenbite did, and a few others. It's more of a problem for EA, and to a certain extent Ubisoft.

Sure. Positive news spread as fast as negative news. It's up to the devs/publishers what kind of news they produce

I actually bought this on Wii U at the weekend, for a budget price of £25. Its quite a decent game, with a solid campaign and it doesnt really bother me that it has a lack of co-op and online features. If all games retailers sold it at a budget price, i dont suppose it would be too much of an issue.

You're given a choice of 2 pizza.

A. Pizza

B. Pizza with extra toppings

Both cost the same. Which would you choose? Let's make it easier by making B cheaper.

And then cry A isn't selling.

Ha ha, it depends on the topping. As i posted, i got it for a budget price and i dont like online gaming. So it isnt a problem for me, i prefer a good solid campaign mode over online features. Mind you local co-op would have been nice.
