Well, when you'll finish F35 we could easily give Asad S400 )))

We'll give them a slingshot. Though given the state of the program it might get shot down by the power of the mind.

Never said I didn't have a problem with it.  I simply that the rebels winning is unavoidable.  Therefore, the sonner the better.

I generally expect the rebels to win, play along enough to get western support until they stablize and then more or less immediatly go "rogue".   Sort of like Saddam Hussein.

If that's all going to happen though, better sooner then later, so it can keep rolling over via other countries until it does become something vaguely representing the people.

Doubt it's so unavoidable, but that's discussion for another time. If you have problems with your government supporting terrorism, why make it seem like Assad is the problem. Would that help if it was Mother Teresa instead? Doubt it, otherwise the situation haven't been brought to a scale of a war, and for that you hold much of a responsibility along with Saudis.

Because Assad ALSO is a problem.

Most likely case is a lateral transition.

Kasz216. Your death is unavoidable. So – the sooner the better???

It's actually quite the opposite.  Getting assad out of the way now would prevent deaths.  Not cause them.

Gaddafy (??) was killed. But deaths in Lybia aren't stopped.

Yeah it's really unstable in Libya there is still a weak government but do you really blame people for wanting to overthrow a ruler who was a tyranny for over 40 years? The people there though they had enough of dictatorship and being treated like shit by there government. But i guess the problem is, was this influenced from the outside or was it the people's revolution. Also, the problem with the killings is probably because everyone was allowed to keep what they found when they took over the military bases from Gaddafi's army. It will probably take years to recover there and prosper in a Gaddafi-free age

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Yes, but it depends on which rebels come out on top. If the regime falls and the Nusra Front take over then that's probably worse for US interests, women's rights and minority rights. That's why the world should work to have the FSA, Muslim Brotherhood come out on top because if they let things go as they are now the allies of Al Qaeda are going to win.

Before anyone argues that the rebels are all terrorists and jihadists, the Syrian government has funded terrorism for decades and Hizb Allah (the most organized terror group in the world) is fighting on the side of the government (and they are as religiously fanatical as the Nusra front).

The Israeli jets didn't even enter Syrian air space last time to bomb near Damascus (which is very close to the Lebanese border), the S-300s won't be a game changer.

You argued earlier that the west should not support imposing islamic dictators like in Iran (Shah was the furthest possible thing from a islamic ruler), Afghanistan (the Taliban did not exist when the Soviets left, they came along in the mid-90s and won took over through a civil war) and Iraq (west didn't install anything, the people elected the government, the majority of the Iraqis are Shia so the Shia will logically lead the country now just as the Sunnis should lead Syria), but you seem fine with the overthrow of Qaddafi (almost impossible it seemed without western aid, at least at the speed it moved). By the same logic the Syrians are revolting against their dictatorial rulers. The jihadists joined the fight in Lybia as well and will flock to any war zone in a muslim country to spread their ideology and beliefs.

God no, they are pure scum. Just look at any of their propaganda videos. Disgusting.

Assad regime has killed more Syrians and Lebanese than the rebels can dream of killing at this point. So who's worse? Assad opened the floodgates for jihadists to cross from Syria into Iraq to blow up american soldiers and now the same jihadists are blowing up in his face. Chickens have come home to roost.

Of course, I do. Finally cannibals will be equated in rights with the rest of the people in that country.

Sorry, but the heart of a dead soldier being eaten by one man (as shocking as the sight is) is less of a travesty as the tens of thousands of civilians wiped out by Assad by air and artillery in indiscriminate bombardment. Large swathes of Aleppo (largest city in Syria and economic heart of the country) have literally been pulverized and the only side that has the ability for such destruction of whole neighborhoods of buildings (provided by the peacemakers Russia) is the government.

Do you actually believe that the rebels are fighting for cannibalism? That the majority of them are cannibals? Because that is laughable. Is it supposed to bother me more that there's footage of a dead government soldier's heart being eaten than the countless rapes by the government militias and the torturing of children? (this whole revolution started with children who sprayed anti Assad graffiti were taken by police and punished) Of course that kind of stuff doesn't capture the imagination so it's mostly ignored by the media in the west.

By the way other, rebel groups have called for that guy to be put to death, but there's about hundreds of different groups operating against the government now.
