Can this really be true? If true isn't it wrong for a gaming site to receive so much money from one of the three major console makers? Doesn't it affect their ability to remain objective? Here's the post:

The Last of Us has received over 25 perfect scores and is currently at 96/100 on Metacritic. All around the world it gets high praises. Yet, the newly started site Polygon gives it only 7.5.. To please Microsoft and say thanks for the $750,000 or to please Xbox fanboys and boost their number of members?

In the Polygon making-of series, it was said that all the reviewers got together to decide a game's final score. So it's not just one reviewer's subjective opinion.

The last couple of days Polygon banned members on both polygon.com and their facebook page for defending The Last of Us.

No bro, the way meta works is that usually later on, there will be reviews that standout pulling the average down. Always expect around -1 or -2 for whatever score you're seeing once half of the reviews are in (like it is now). So 94-95. Uncharted 2 had 97 with 100 reviews, the 101 review gave it an 88 and it dropped to 96 lol. Games climb rarely when they're that high.

Thanks added this. And Im not sureTLOU will get as many perfect scores on UC2 on Meta atleast. UC2 has an insane whooping 39 perfect scores. UC3 has 24, TLOU has 27 at the moment. Still a long way to go.

I disagree.

For this generation at least:

Naughty Dog >>> Kojima Pro (Who couldn't even finish Rising themselves without Kojima) > Santa Monica

Santa Monica has helped games like Journey and such but I mostly took its work on GoW3 into account.

Rising is a piece of $hit really; dont take that game into consideration.  But still, I am talking about them in general; not just this gen PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3; based on WHAT I LIKE :]

For me MGS4 is better than Uncharted 2; and on the same level as U3 and GOW3.   I need my games to have badass characters with great story (obviously great gameplay too); and MGS4 and GOW3 have those 2.

But as I said based on what I like. 

I thought Uncharted 2 was overrated, so I never assume a highly rated game is as good as reviewers say, still I will give it a fair chance.

Yeah I understand that. MGS4 was a bit surpassed by my love for UC3. But even with that: Now TLOU is coming. And I am mostly basing it off this generation where Koji hasnt done shit since 2008 for me whereas ND has totally stolen my love. ND surpassed them in 2011 for me. SSM failed with Ascensions SP imo, that hurt them in my eyes :(

That's a total of 41 perfect scores !!! (if in a perfect world: They all got added lol). But that's not going to happen :(
