So I guess everyone only likes 'emotional' games right now? I don't hear anything about the glitches, Ellie being an invisible bulletsponge and frustrating gunplay this game has. I think it's another Bioshock Infinite case right here, good storytelling but the gameplay was pretty boring.

So you've played it?

I've seen it:

You don't see flaws like this in reviews giving it a ten. It is just a temporary hype because of the game. Bioshock Infinite also had many flaws in the gameplay (yes I played that) but everyone seems to forget it because of the superb storytelling. To me a game is about being fun. I dont want to struggle through the boring parts only to see a cutscene.

You've seen it!?

WOW! You really suspect anyone to take what you have to say seriously just because you saw a video of it?

Do yourself a favor and stop embarassing yourself. If you have something against this game, or should i say the console it's on, then don't bother commenting in this thread. As we already know what you have to ''add'' to the discussion.

Guys, the man from the future is back! Oh great lord of gaming, please tell us about this game since you clearly have played the game, from start to finish, before its release and have an educated opinion on it.

I think your sig pretty much explains everything. You prefere games with minimal story and pure gameplay right? Nothing wrong with that but before judging you I'd like to know if you own a PS3 and if you ever played Bioshock Infinite. "Watching" them doesn't count. All games are boring if you only "watch" them.

The only bad thing about that is that ps3 hardly ever gets the same amount of reviews that the 360 gets. So it's really hard to judge it when both consoles have a big gap of how many reviews it has.

What? It is the average... 50 or 100 reviewers will not change the score over 1 point.

No no not all of them no.  I'm just talking about ones I have seen where 360 will have 90ish reviews and ps3 has maybe 35 and there is a 2-3 point difference.  It has no effect at all to me.

So this game is pretty much getting perfect scores across the board. I already had this pre-ordered but I'm even more hyped for it now than I ever was. Sometimes reviews do have a point. Reviews told me God of War Ascension was stale and more of the same and some even called it the worst GoW game on PS3. They weren't wrong and maybe I should have waited for a price drop. It's great to have some reassurance that this $60 investment I'm making will be worth it.

I don't really prefer pure gameplay over cinematic games. But I think cinematic games should take advantage of the elements they're trying to express. Like in Infinite and this game, the co-player is a female you've to protect. But you only protect her in cutscenes, in-game she doesn't seem to exist at all. Make it add something to the gameplay: Protect your co-player as much as possible (ICO?). It can really add something to the overall game. It gives you a reason to care about her. Also the glitches are disturbing in beautiful games like this. Just take the time to take out the glitches. Mass Effect is another good example of a cinematic game doing it right.

Everybody has a different definition of fun. Some people like story-focused games, others only care for gameplay mechanics, others care for the online componenet, etc etc. Just cause you get a case of the ADDs pretty easily doesn't mean other people can't enjoy a slower, more story driving game.

As Nintendo fan, I assume you care about games for purely the mechanics and gameplay. That's all fine and dandy, but you're making a fool of yourself. Wait until next week, play the game ALL THE WAY THROUGH and we will take you seriously.

Been reading some reviews and it seems great, definitely sounds and looks like my type of game. My vacation starts next week so ill have a bunch of time for this:)

28 perfect scores if I counted correctly (by Metacritic account, that is). It's already surpassed Bioshock Infinite as the most acclaimed game this year.

So you don't like a challenge? Frustrating gunplay right.... no flawed gunplay, not sure how that’s a negative on the game. This is The Last Of Us not Bioshock not sure why you would base the "flaws" on that game as a given for The Last Of Us.
