 So you've played it?

I've seen it:

You don't see flaws like this in reviews giving it a ten. It is just a temporary hype because of the game. Bioshock Infinite also had many flaws in the gameplay (yes I played that) but everyone seems to forget it because of the superb storytelling. To me a game is about being fun. I dont want to struggle through the boring parts only to see a cutscene.

I think your sig pretty much explains everything. You prefere games with minimal story and pure gameplay right? Nothing wrong with that but before judging you I'd like to know if you own a PS3 and if you ever played Bioshock Infinite. "Watching" them doesn't count. All games are boring if you only "watch" them.

I don't really prefer pure gameplay over cinematic games. But I think cinematic games should take advantage of the elements they're trying to express. Like in Infinite and this game, the co-player is a female you've to protect. But you only protect her in cutscenes, in-game she doesn't seem to exist at all. Make it add something to the gameplay: Protect your co-player as much as possible (ICO?). It can really add something to the overall game. It gives you a reason to care about her. Also the glitches are disturbing in beautiful games like this. Just take the time to take out the glitches. Mass Effect is another good example of a cinematic game doing it right.
