badgenome mentioned "no pedestrians" in quotes so I'm assuming it's something Nagoshi said in the interview.  If you've ever played a Yakuza game, you'll see how flooded the streets are with pedestrians.  It's might be something that he doesn't want to remove from the series.

I wouldn't mind a port of Black Panther Yakuza 1 and 2  to the 3DS, maybe give us a chance of receiving the games in the west.  But for a new Yakuza game, I'd rather see it on the Vita with graphics comparable to those on the PS3.

The story and cutscenes for 1 and 2 were on the Yakuza 3 disc. Maybe you saw the story there. That's where I saw them.

They didn't actually ask him, but some Sega Europe guy was asked about it recently and said that there was so much text and it was so very expensive to translate it all, blah blah blah, so it's not looking good.

Instead of investing in Yakuza Dead Souls, they should have worked on Yakuza 5.  Dead Souls is their excuse on us not getting the next game.  A game that not even fans of Yakuza wanted to play.  I still bought it and finished it, but it was a disappointing sequel to an amazing series of games.

Yeah, Dead Souls is not so good. The shooting is completely balls. Hard to believe the same team made the incredible Binary Domain.

And yet, I'm so down about the silence regarding Yakuza 5 that I've picked it up and started playing again.

Oh man, that just breaks my heart. They wasted money with an experiment like Dead Souls and then they won't bring over Yakuza 5. Sega seems to keep killing the franchises I love from them (Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Panzer Dragoon, Sakura Taisen, Valkyria Chronicles) X_X

I haven't finished it, but after replaying what I'm currently playing, I'll start it up and finish it.  I quit playing at the start of chapter four I think.  There's one part in the game where the elevator on the previous chapter wouldn't go up  because my characters didn't go into it.  I restarted from the last checkpoint, had to do half the mission over again.  After I got stuck at the same part, watched on Youtube and that's where I was supposed to go.  After 10 minutes finally got my characters to walk into the elevator and it went up.
