Forums - Nintendo - X on Nintendo Direct confirmed?

Any thing short of a spoiler/red herring flinging trailer or in depth hand on previews will be a disappointment to me because that means the game isn't likely to be out by 2014... which it NEEDS to be released by for the sake of the Wii U.

well until now the line-up for resto of 2013 is pretty good to me

Xenoblade is great game for X i hope in Q4 2014 worldwide release and some DLC in lifetime

They shouldn't rush X. As much as we here loved Xenoblade it is nowhere near a system seller, so X doesn't need to be released this fall. They should take the time they need to make it a true masterpiece, a worldwide Q4 release date would be great^^

I'm not sure about X not being a system seller.

Mind you, it won't sell hundreds of thousands of consoles like Mario Kart will, but unlike Mario Kart, which part of the consoles sold will be to people that will only buy 2 or 3 more games in its lifetime (the casuals that will use it in reunions with family or friends),  X is the kind of game that will move a few thousand consoles from gamers that besides this game will also buy other games.

And Nintendo must get those kind of gamers as soon as possible.

Please excuse my bad English.

May be true, but I still think releasing X this fall would be a waste. To ensure 3rd-party support they need a major quantity-push first (which MKU unlike X will provide), from that point on it will take 1-2 years until the games of the 3rd party devs are finished anyways (just look at the 3DS, we just now are starting to get the major 3rd party games like MH4, SMT IV etc.), so as long as Nintendo releases X in that timeframe they should be fine.

I agree with you, but at the same time, X and Mario Kart cater different audiences, so it's not a bad idea to have both games this year.

And talking about 3rd party support, most of the people that will buy X will also be interested in games like Watchdogs or other kind of games that are more likely to come from 3rd parties than from Nintendo, having both games this Xmas could be something that many won't be able to resist, "forcing" them to purchase the console.
