Apple - 100% right so far Google - 100% right so far MS - absolutely 100% accurate. Sony - 100% right so far (I even predicted the vita connection and streaming content) Nintendo- substantially right, but the new unforeseen DRM issue is plaguing 3rd party support and clearly the Android rumor was wrong, BUT they did bring in their own apps and socialization to dramatically increase the non-gaming features. |
"Hardware: We already know a PS4 or Orbis is on its way. What we don't know is its power. Based on latest rumors it could be technically weaker then Wii U or more powerful and closer to the next Xbox. Either way it will be a player in the market."
You're calling that "100% right", but you basically predicted that "The PS3 could be anything from the weakest console to almost as powerful as the next XBox."

Wasn't the consensus that the PS4 will actually have more raw power than the Xbox One, therefore being the only outcome he didn't predict and thus making him infact 100% wrong?
The TV side of this is quite interesting if they get it right. My PS3 really did end up turning into a netflix/lovefilm hub for my TV. If the XBOne and PS4 nail that with a much more streamlined interface they could both be a decent proposition.
However, it's not whether gaming is the future of consoles, but more whether consoles are the future of gaming. What with the rapid improvements in the horsepower in tablets etc, and the likes of Steam and Origin, and these tablets, laptops, PCs etc all now starting to be easy to connect to a TV, if they take their eye off the core gaming market too much. Consoles will be irrelevant.
