Semms like he means all next gen consoles combined will hit 1 billion. He is counting on a 30% increase in sales from a new gen, and than doubling that due to the entertainment offerings provided my MS and Sony. Seems high to me, but I wouldn't be shocked if sales got close to it.

That just make my PS3 prediction of 115 million even more reasonable.

I can't see how the next-gen will top this one, not because of mobile gaming but because of PC(tablets and laptops included) gaming getting cheaper and cheaper with a lot more Power. I mean look at what the Jaguar processor will Power except for X1 and PS4 - tablets and laptops and those markets are 10 fold the console market per quarter

Okay, the Xbox 360 hitting 100 million in Sales within 5 more years, is plausible.

400 Million to 1 Billion consoles this coming generation... That I am not so sure of.

PS4=80 million
WiiU=75 million
XBOX ONE= 50 million(75% of those sales is from the US)

So this gen will have a worst case of RROD people will be buying a new console every 3 month
