Let's leave it at 250K and one of the most downloaded games on the entire eShop. Second to Super Metroid.


I figured Super Mario World would be the number 1 for awhile,has Super Metroid really out downloaded it? Maybe so because of the 30 cents deal. Anyways i can just hope that all these Earthbound/Mother fans will come together and give the game some justice and least push it over 100,000 copies if anything,could 100k  change Nintendo's mind or are they too used to million+ sales from their main series.

As long as VC sales are above-average (...and why not? Where else are people going to buy this game?), I think Nintendo may get the picture.

Not definitively. But it would be odd for Monolith Soft to be working on three major RPGs at once, since we already know that their 3DS title doesn't seem very... Mother-like.

Though we don't really know for sure which game any of the artwork is for, specifically.

that looks so amazing, it needs to happen!!

The flying saucers in Earthbound are very small and comical. That thing is huge.

Xenogears had giant flying saucers in it. Monolithsoft developed Xenogears, and the game they are working on looks a lot like Xenogears. Why would you think Earthbound and not Xenogears?

I want to believe but I think this is just some sort of Earthbound collector's edition. SNES game + art book + CD or something. Why would the price be this low? Well, maybe it's a new game but a 2D "budget" title like Game & Wario.

Anyways, not getting my hopes up yet

Interesting. That's the first I've seen of that start screen with the saucer. I'll buy anything Monolith does.

Oh, and Basil didn't get out of Colony 9. He clearly was killed by the unique bird on one of the batteries that you walk up a ramp to get to as part of the Sesame quests.

It will have to be a new series, I can't see Nintendo going against one of their developer's wishes for a series while they are alive or on good terms with the company.

Mainly because Nintendo doesn't own Xenogears, and I'm not sure how well flying saucers would fit  X. Even so, this is old art dating back to late 2010. If it's related to a game, then it would represent a game early on in development.
