Less than a week now, time to put on my E3 party hat! :D

Does anyone else want one? Should I make a thread?

My order is already placed! Unless wall orders don't count, in which case I'll order again in here.

It will depend on how desperate Nintendo is.

Pikmin 3, given the imminent release date, could really be one of them. But i hope Nintendo shows something bigger than Rayman. Something like Watch Dogs, Splinter Cell, etc.

I don't think Pikmin is a good candidate given that it's designed to be played with a wiimote and nunchuk. If you want people to know WiiU =/= Wii, they should avoid it.

Wiimote + Nunchuck + Gamepad you mean. It can also be played with just the Gamepad too. Also, there's surely going to be signs everywhere saying Wii U, so there's not likely to be any confusion.

I know it can also be played with the Gamepad, but even Nintendo knows that it's better if played with the wiimote and nunchuck.

Besides, I think that Pikmin 3 and The Wonderful 101 have similar gameplay, so having both games on the demo stations wouldn't be a good idea.

lol, again, it's Wiimote + Nunchuck + Gamepad. Also, using the Gampad alone has it's advantages, which is simply easier n faster access to the gamepad, which'll let you tell your captains where to go and let view the entire map. In terms of the demo station, just because the Wiimote set-up might be the best, that doesn't mean they have to use it. If they're really worried about people confusing the game for a Wii one, then they can make the demo gamepad only. Course, there's gonna be Wii U signs everywhere as said already. Also, Pikmin and 101 are not the same at all and no one said they'd both be demo'd.

Fantastic stuff right there. If there's anything I've learned from drawings like this and people's drawings on Miiverse, it's that there's a lot of talented Nintendo fans out there!

They don't "like" Microsoft.  Sakaguchi took their money to start a studio and made the two games required.  He then moved on to Wii for his next title.  There really is no point in buying Mistwalker for anyone.  They are essentially an "idea" studio.  They only have a handful of workers and outsource most of the programing to other developers.  The value of Mistwalker is in Sakaguchi's writing and producing and his good friend Uematsu who does the music for him, not in their programing expertese or valuable IPs.  You could buy the company and Sakaguchi could then go do something else and you would essentially have nothing.

Now, signing Sakaguchi to a multi-title deal would be a great move for any company.  Doubtful MS would do it though, since the first attempt didn't work out so great.  Sony is unlikely since they are tight with Square.  Nintendo is the most likely to get Sakaguchi's next several games with Nintendo most likely acting as publisher like they did with Last Story. I would expect 2-3 Mistwalker games on Wii U.

I didn't see your post! The VGChartz buddy didn't warn me!

Well, I think Lost Odyssey was profitable, even if it didn't met the sales expected. But yeah, I do get your point in the first paragraph. Then I reaffirm myself, Nintendo should totally go for a multi-title deal. Mistwalker titles are pretty awesome, even the IOS and Blue Dragon were good.
Of course, something important would be to LOCALIZE them. It took Operation Rainfall to Nintendo to realise that people demanded the game.

Any chances of the third Sonic game being revealed as a classic 2D platformer?

It would make me seriously think about buying a Wii U.

Not likely since Lost Worlds is the mainline game, and I can't recall them having ever made two main series games at the same time. If you like 2D platformers, there's always Mario & Rayman among others.

Sonic 4 and Sonic Colors were in development at the same time. So was EpII and Generations and a few other occasions as well. Another thing is the 2D sonic is not treated as a mainline/top project to SEGA... theres only one mainline to them. The only reason I would doubt a 2D is because multiple rumors are pointing towards a New Sonic Riders or another evolution of that( Sonic Riders was born from Sonic R). Outside of that one rumor nothing lowers the chances of it being a 2D sonic.
