A lot of my friends at work USED to be Xbox users, but are switching to PS4

I used to be a really big MS fan when I bought my 360, but after 2010 I've been slowly converting back to Sony. I just don't like the company they are becoming, and I think, by 2010, I used up all my 1 month XBLG cards from the dozen times I sent in my 360 to be fixed.

I don't hate MS, I still plan to buy a X-Bone down the road, I have all the major consoles and I don't plan to stop now. However the X-Bone is really not a device for me, and because of the expected high price of used games (Halo 3 is $35 on XBL, but $15 Retail, I expect X-Bone games to continue to be increadibly overpriced, just like 360's digital games, even when old), I'll have to really make a short list of games that I want.

This kinda sucks because I'm a huge car fan, I have every PGR, GT, Forza, Sega GT, Race Pro, and pretty much any half decent sim, and now I might have to skip a couple Forza games. Can't buy them for $10 like I used to....

Plus like I said, the X-Box isn't a device for me. I almost never watch cable, and when I do I prefer to watch it doritos ad free, and I live in Canada, so we might not get that service. I don't care for Kinect, or switching between movies and games, I watch movies off my PC which is also plugged into my TV. Plus I'd like to play online, and the way XBLG is set up, it's really expensive for me to play sparatically over the year.

So Wii U will be first for me, then a PS4 when I beat all my Wii/WiiU/360/PS3 games, and when the gen is just about done, I'll get an X-Bone and pick up a short list of exclusives (I'll have to be real picky about it too due to the overpricing of used games next gen).

My suggestion for you: Wait till the console bombs in price and pick a Forza 5 bundle up cheap.

By the time this happens, it will be Forza 8, assuming they continue to release a new Forza every 2 years.

My plan is Wii U for 2014, PS4 for 2015, and Xbone for 2019, maybe. Things can change though with a good bundle, and an "arcade" lineup of Xbone's consoles.

I have been an Xbox gamer since the original XBL came out. I even have the 10 year XBL helmet to prove it, but I'm out now. It's PS4 for me, unless they do this crap too. In that case, it's good old Nintendo this gen.

if theres exclusive SW that i want to experience ill be getting one at some point the same can be said for any console

going into the 8th gen im defiantly pro sony and will get the ps4 as my main console as my gaming achievments for the majority of my 7th gen library are on ps3
