lol @ Super Bowl exclusive access for 400 million. A 30 second Super Bowl commercial would cost a company as big as MS almost 4 million. The big networks paid almost 30 BILLION for rights to the games for 8 years. 400 million is not enough for something that great. It might seem like a lot to us, but to MS and the NFL, it's not.
As for stats and stuff, that's entirely fantasy football related. Idk if you live in the US or not, but fantasy football is monstrous. It is a multi-billion dollar industry when you take into account the money from league pools and the money players spend on fantasy football merchandise and league fees to various websites that host them. There is absolutely nothing groundbreaking about flashing stats on the screen that pertain to fantasy football. DirectTV has had this for at least a couple years. What it does it is allows you to get updates on big plays from guys on your fantasy team. So you don't have to get up and check the PC, you don't have to wait for periodic updates on big plays, you don't have to flip back and forth between the game you wanna watch and the Redzone channel.
However, the DirectTV application is slow and quite honestly, a piece of shit. My father in law has DirectTV just for Sunday Ticket and last season we were trying to set up his fantasy team and a lot of his players were not even in the system. So if this Xbone app can make it seamless and quick, they've got a sure fire hit on their hands.
Furthermore the app combined with other Xbone apps opens up many great social possibilities. I run a fantasy league and a few of the guys are not in the same state as the rest of us. I can already see us watching the slate of games during our championship week through Xbone and using Skype to all talk to one another and maybe use the NFL app as well to keep us up to date on the scores.
I can understand why a non-NFL fan wouldn't give a rats ass but it's a fantastic deal for MS and people who are NFL fans. That's not even getting into the other details of the partnership, like Surface tablets replacing all the binders and paper on sidelines. What if they integrate that into the service? See the same notes and defensive alignments Peyton or Brady does on the sidelines? Would be great.

How much are they spending on those 15 year one exclusives?

Idk but judging by the conference we all seen yesterday not much. I grantee it's going to xbla games and kinect games (ryse). Look at it this way they showed two exclusive games at a gaming console reveal ,Forza and the new I.P. (which is also connected to T.v.) and spent 90% of the on T.V. safe bet is they have more invested in T.V. than games.
Without order nothing can exist - without chaos nothing can evolve.
"I don't debate, I just give you that work"- Ji99saw
This will turn into more than $400 million so don't go boo hoo why not use on creating new games.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
Asked all my friends that are huge football fans and they aren't interested in the XBOX at all despite the pandering...

Didn't read your post, but 400 million is a lot, they might offer something like exclusive behind the scene access to the players or maybe something madden related or early access to super bowl tickets or an app that let you watch multiple games at the same time, because really 400million for what they showed us is way overpriced

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Why would 400 million buy MS an app that allows you to watch multiple games at once when the big networks spend billions a year to broadcast 2 games a week? Your expectations on what the money can buy just don't mesh with reality. What you think is a lot of money and what is actually a lot of money are two different things entirely. The only way watching multiple games happens is if Xbox gets Sunday Ticket, which is no longer offered on PS3.
I didn't expect them to completely reveal every single feature of the app in a short little reveal.

"Idk" is really all that you needed to answer with.
I personally think these features are quite cool, and I can see a certain purpose with them. However, I don't see these features as anything that will drive sales. It's a fun gimmick aimed at the extreme hard core consumers. But Microsoft shouldn't let such features take center stage when they present their next generation of gaming experiences. It only gives me a bad taste in the mouth.
