How is that even worth it? Jesus...
Spend some money where you need to, and not only on FIFA Ultimate Team content

It is well worth it for advertising. Football as the biggest sport in America the advertising for the service will be seen by millions all the time and mutually benifits the NFL and the Xone. MS won America last gen partly due to advertising and this will help the a lot. Fantasy football is huge in America.

The US will surely buy Xbox instead of Playstation now. Wait, they already do.

It is a great promotional thing for Xbox, its likely to only further associate football with Xbox. I would like to see Microsoft be more aggressive in other markets though. They have the US market already, this seems unnecessary.

The fault in this post is many people trie to treat this coming gen as if it will be the same as the last. Sony used to dominate the industry for two gens before our current one. The Wii was mighty and the future then fell to being abysmal along with the Wii U. Handheld gaming is on the decline, and mobile is picking up steam. There is no reason to assume MS, or any company has America on lockdown, and they all have to do everything they can to get consumers to buy their new products.

Funny, I don't remember an outcry when Sony entered a multiple hundred billion dollar partnership with a sport a lot of people don't give a shit about. Yet MS does it and suddenly they're not making games anymore, even though they announced 15 exclusives for year one.

Anyway depending on how fast the feature is and how easy it is to use, this could be amazing.

I wish they would do something like this for the Champions League. Watch the game and see all the information you want on you tablet / smartphone. I actually use an app on my phone to get some statistics while I watch the game, but this is very basic.

I want information about each player (completed passes, distance on the field, ball possession etc). That would be awesome.

You watch football for the statistics?  I mean, to each their own, but for me I want less information. Just the score and clock is perfect with ambient sound of the stadium.  Of course, I far prefer going to matches for the experience so television has never been my preferred method.

On NFL. No opinion as do not watch or know anything about it.

what a waste of money! They could of made so many decent games with that kind of money

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

'When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called the people's stick'- Mikhail Bakunin

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

and that is like 10 AAA exclusive games.

Worth every penny. Probably the best investment they could have made.

I had to quote this before reading the rest of the thread because that's exactly what I thought the minute I saw this yesterday. I was also wondering why there weren't any threads about it.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Can watch NFL on tv/internet, don't need to do it on a console...or a betamax.
